Dead in the Water

May 23, 2017

Dead in the Water is the second book in The Water Trilogy by Britney King. This is also my second Britney King book to date.

"Some days with you it feels like trying to squeeze a hurricane into a bottle." -Jude

This book is written in the same style that Water Under the Bridge, book one, was written in, dual view points. I just might love this book more than I loved the first one. I enjoy getting to see life from both Jude's and Kate's perspective.  Dead in the Water didn't have to be as intricate as the first, the lines had been drawn and the detailed groundwork had been laid. Not to worry, Jude and Kate are still crazy. I found Jude to not only be witty this time but also humorous. I may or may not have to confess here, that I have a crush on Jude after this one. What does that say about me?

Remember when I said you would be investing more into Jude and Kate beyond book one? Don't wait, Dead in the Water is the perfect continuum. Britney King's writing is wonderful and her stories are masterfully woven together.  I am thankful I have one more book to read, because I am just not ready to say good-bye to this crazy duo yet.

If you like crazy + lovers who are always trying to one up each other and come out on top, this series is for you.

I give this one 4.5 killer stars out of 5
