The Good Widow
Wid•ow•hood | noun | the state of having lost one's spouse
I love books that you can dive into immediately, ones that you quickly and easily feel apart of. The Good Widow is a tale of lies, deceit and heartbreak. But, it's also so much more than that. It's hitting rock bottom and finding strength in yourself to put one foot in front of the other despite the fact that life can show up one day and turn your entire existence into something you no longer recognize. This book is full of passion and a wild array of emotions. Imagine you are having the worst day of your life and then it gets worse, so much worse. What would you do? How would you get out of bed, day after agonizing day? Who are you when you lose someone you have loved, someone you intended to share the rest of your life with? You might just find yourself wondering how you would move forward as you follow along with a lost widow on her journey to find answers, to find forgiveness, to give forgiveness and to find herself.
If you enjoy a book that's emotional without being super heavy, plus a few twists and turns be sure to check this one out this summer. The Good Widow comes out on June 1st! This book cover is breathtaking and deserves a spot front and center on your bookshelf. I give The Good Widow 4 twisty two-faced stars out of 5 This book is the first suspense novel released by the amazing duo and I need more!
Huge thank you to Liz Fenton and Lisa Steinke and Lake Union Publishing for granting me early access, via NetGalley, to this highly anticipated summer read in exchange for an honest review.
